Frequently asked questions
What is ExNook for?
ExNook is a currency converter for travel and everyday calculations. It helps you understand local prices, convert amounts into familiar currencies and follow exchange-rate changes.
Is ExNook free? Does it have ads?
ExNook is free and ad-free.
Can I calculate offline?
Yes, using saved rates with a visible data date. An internet connection is needed for new rates; save the data you need before travelling.
How do I compare an amount in several currencies?
Set the price as the list’s base amount and apply it. The example shows 9,500 INR in EUR, THB and GBP together. You choose the currencies and their order. This differs from the separate single-pair converter.
What is the reverse rate?
It shows the base-currency value of selected units in another currency. “1 EUR ≈ 108.6 INR” is the rate for one euro. The example shows the rate date.
What are quote units?
The number of currency units used in a quote: 1, 100, 1,000 or a custom value. Base and row units are independent of the separate converter’s amount. Numbers appear in full, with adjustable precision in the app.
How do the three tabs differ?
Main, Travel and Analytics each keep their own base, currencies, order and settings. Charts and changes appear in Analytics; Travel stays focused on prices.
Does ExNook include MVR, KGS, UZS and LAK?
Yes: the Maldivian rufiyaa, Kyrgyzstani som, Uzbekistani som and Lao kip. Add them to a list or choose one as the base.
How is a local currency suggested?
When you request country detection and location services are available and permitted, Travel suggests the local currency. You choose whether to accept it or keep your current base.
Can I prepare before travelling?
Yes. Choose a country, base currency and list manually before departure. This works without granting location permission.
Will the result match a card charge?
The calculation is for reference. Your bank or payment provider may use a different exchange rate and charge fees.
